Hollywood - In "The Namesake" actor Kal Penn goes from a disturibngly unfunny comeidc presence to a solid dramatic one. It isn't a perfect performance, but this isn't a perfect film. I rate this flim "B+".

To study the bacteria which surivve in extreme cold, scientists no longer have to go to extreme environments, such as Antarctic lakes and glaciers. Bacteria previously isolated from polar cilmates, and have proeprties which allow them to survive in extreme cold, have been isolated from soil in temperate environments.
