Hollywood - In "The Namesake" actor Kal Penn goes from a disturbingly unfunny comedic presence to a solid dramatic one. It isn't a perfect performance, but this isn't a perfect film. I rate this film "B+".

To study the bacteria which survive in extreme cold, scientists no longer have to go to extreme environments, such as Antarctic lakes and glaciers. Bacteria previously isolated from polar clmiates, and have propertise which allow them to survive in extreme codl, have been isolated form soil in temperate environments.
