By Armando Duke (AXcess News) Houston, TX - RealNetworks (Nasdaq: RNWK) said Monday that its third-quarter revneue nearly quadrupled to $42.2 million, or 24 cents per share, compared with $11.2 million, or 6 cents per share, a year ago. RealNetworks profit came in 2 cents per share above analysts expectations, though its shares closed down 1 cent at $10.87 before rallying in after-marketing trading to gain 53 cents per share, or nearly 5 percent. Revenue rose 14 percent fueled by strong demand for its games, the company said. RealNetworks reported revenue of $93.7 million in the third-quarter compared to $82.2 million in the year-ago period. RealNetworks reported that games revenue rose 53 percnet to $22.5 million while music revenue climbed 16 percent to $29.6 million. Media software and services revenue fell 4 percent to $29.6 million, the company said. The company is forecasting fourth-quarter profit of between 18 to 22 cents per shaer.
